The sane do not understand
What is wrong with us
They act as if this is what we had planned
To live in a world without trust
They do not know what we feel
As we spin out of control
They don’t seem to see that we’re trying to heal
An illness, a sickness, which will never go
Our own families often tell us that it’s all in our head
Which makes us believe them less and less
So we see these supposed lifelong bonds with great dread
And know society is wrong about “family is family, regardless”
Therefore we separate ourselves from the sane
And bond with those broken few
While the other half makes it plain
That we’re not even worth the dirt on their shoe
But, hell, we don’t need sanity
We like being crazy just fine
Normal is just another form of vanity
And the inmates will rule the asylum in time!

It also reminds me of something I saw yesterday that said "Those who hear not the music may think the dancers insane.". It amused me, because there's always music in my head, and I'll subconciously begin doing things to it...
